Wall Paneling with Wall Frames & Shadow Boxes
Decorative wall frames (or shadow boxes) can provide the perfect design accent in your home. The process of installing wall frames is easy with the help of Just Moulding.
Various types of decorative wall paneling are available, the most popular being crown moulding. When present, elements of the crown moulding design are usually continued onto the walls when creating shadow boxes. Another popular and attractive wall decoration is wainscoting, which incorporates many of the same visual elements as wall frames. Wall frame moulding mimics wainscoting, but leaves wall space in the middle of each rectangle. The chair rail, beadboard, and bookcase wall panels follow the design of a room, either mid-way up the wall or imitating the angle of a stairway. These decorative wall frames can enliven a room, making it feel cozier. Custom wall paneling can include set-in bookcases, or any combination of other wall framing elements.
Decorative shadow boxes are often white so as to blend in with the color of the walls or ceiling and provide an intriguing texture. Additionally, wall frames can offer a more striking contrast with the wall color, thus breaking up the potential monotony of a monochromatic room or wall. Shadow box installation adds elegance and refinement to a room, and can be customized to fit your decorating style.
Shadow Box Installation Process
The Just Moulding process involves four steps: a moulding estimate and free consultation, measurement, custom fabrication, and installation. If you're seeking wall frame installation, our consultants will bring samples of many different moulding and wall paneling styles and provide advice and ideas on what will look great in your home. We will take measurements and provide you with a shadow box price quote that is based both on the number of feet and the number of corners in the room. Once you have decided on which type of shadow boxes to go with, we will perform a digital in-home measurement of the rooms where wall frames are to be installed. This 10-minute process provides a precise measurement of every angle and corner in the room, yielding a digital blueprint to ensure the most exact manufacture and installation of the shadow boxes.
Just Moulding custom manufactures and cuts your wall frames off-site to avoid tracking sawdust into your home. Each angle is cut accurately and squarely on a sliding compound meter saw. Once the shadow box pieces are ready, they are packaged and brought to your home for installation by a uniformed team. The outer corners are all glued together in case of changes in humidity, and the inner corners are all sprung together tightly. The entire installation process is extremely professional, clean, and timely.
